Top 8 Fashion Misconceptions

1)   Mixing Silver and Gold is Not Okay…
So false. Ever layered a few silver and gold necklaces together, loved it, but knew you were "breaking the rule"? Well, that rule is long gone. As long as the pieces complement each other nicely, there is no reason why you can't mix the two.

2)   Brown and Black Don’t go Together…
Wrong again. In fact, we LOVE brown and black together. Forget what your momma told ya because these two colors can create the most killer outfit.

3)   Anything Designer is a Must Have…
Not always the case. Everyone makes mistakes, even well-known fashion designers. Just because its name brand doesn't mean it’s cute. Word to the wise: Don’t be blinded by labels.

4)   If You’re on a Budget, You Can’t be Fashionable…
Yeah right! You can find some pretty rad things without having to empty your wallet. It’s all about looking in the right places and hitting the sales. We always try to buy affordable merchandise and give customers plenty of opportunity to snag some deals.

5)   Your Style isn't Right…
There’s no right or wrong style, you have to be you. Whatever your personal look is, you need to own it. The key is to be confident and keep on rockin’ it.

6)   You Have to be Skinny…
Definitely not true. You have to find what works for you and your body type. Everyone is different. There are so many types of clothing to complement various shapes and sizes. You have to play up your best assets and love who you are.

7)   Less is More…
Ever heard of patterns and layering? Although simple outfits are appropriate and cute, it’s definitely okay to shake things up. Sometimes the more you add to an outfit, the better it looks. We love pairing a cool t-shirt with a kimono, multiple necklaces, and a hat… it just works.

8)   Horizontal Stripes aren't Flattering…

Who even made this up? Stripes have become a staple around here. You can mix them with practically anything. We love stripes and floral, but who doesn't? No matter which way the stripes are running, they’re sure to complement any outfit.

Ignore the rules and just do you.
